Default Fishfinder power question

Have a question about power to a fish finder. I'm removing an older unit from my old boat and setting it up for a second 12' aluminum. I planned on containing it all inside a typical battery box with the monitor mounted on top so it's removable and transportable. I was going to use an extra group 24 deep cycle, but tested an extra battery for my garden tractor, and it worked. I quess my question is anyone have any idea how long that battery would last with only the fishfinder on it? I would rather take the lightweight over the heavyweight.
