Default U.S. Election……..the red wave…?

Early indications look like the Republicans may have fizzled…

High inflation…. That should put them squarely in the drivers seat.

Hmmmm…

That sneaky Biden… lol

Does this delay Melania’s husband from declaring his candidacy for 2024?

The cries of rigged elections will be swift and shrill I predict

With enough media propaganda, you can convince enough people to sway an election, Trudeau is proof of that.

So we will continue to have idiots running North America running it into the ground is what you are saying

I am not a big Trump fan but Biden is a major negative for the economy north and south of the border

Aren't early indicators indicating that the Democrats have gained one Senate seat?

Sadly the first sentence applies no matter who wins in the US.
We at least have a choice which leaves some room for optimism in Canada

They chose one loser over another loser, but at least with the other loser, they had a better chance of being able to afford to feed and house their families.

You would think that would be their conclusion, but unfortunately I think you may be giving them too much credit.

Every Pro choice ballot one, regardless of red or blue state. Oregon's gun control bill is likely to win. There was a lot of anger over these issues in the states and still the Democrats made no real progress. This was more a message that the Republicans need to listen. They went full tropic thunder and paid the price.

Good question

https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates...states-voting/

Quote:
Abortion rights were directly on the ballot in California, Michigan, Vermont, Kentucky and Montana, through either proposed amendments to state constitutions or, in Montana, legislative referendum. In California, Michigan and Vermont, voters decided to enshrine abortion rights in their respective state constitutions.
Kentucky voted to protect abortion rights

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-63564062

Looks like Montana’s abortion law is also set to fail

Let's face it bess... The vast majority of the US population always votes one way and never will change that. it is a very tiny portion that swings who wins and loses so I think it is reasonable to assume there would never actually be a massive sweep overall. It is all down to tiny volumes of votes.

We all just like drama and the news knows it so they play it out as such.

I read an article that said >60% of Americans lean Republican but a portion can either not vote or can vote over a specific issue.

Seems like the biggest challenge is getting voters to vote. No different than Canada.

I think the same can be said about the Liberal East. I was in NB this summer and was speaking to a city councillor. He was saying he did not like the Turd and what he was doing for the country but he will still vote Liberal because he feared the change a Conservative government would bring.

Well the wider vote isn’t what the whole wave idea was about, it’s the number of house and senate seats that flip. Historically the party that holds the presidency doesn’t do well and you see a lot of those close races go the other way. In 2018 Democrats went from 194 to 235, in 2014 the Republicans already had the majority but it got stronger and so on. It’s a clear pattern.

On top of that now you’ve got a rather unpopular president, several economic problems, and a 40 year high inflation. This should have been a bloodbath for the Democrats but it wasn’t. Why?

That’s great. I predicted that yesterday. Still hope for my clairvoyance.

They're all tyrants.

The people to blame are the people who continue to think this silly system actually works.

Biden , Harris and Fettermen what a trio. I think if you were to put the three of them in a room together they couldn’t come up with a coherent thought between them.
Biden and Fettermen, is just sad because of their health issues and they have no business being there in the first place.
Giggling Harris is just too dumb for words. “ The passage of time “
