Default Texas helicopter hog hunt ??

Has anyone been down to texas hunting hogs from a helicopter? If so which outfitter do you recommend? I realize some folks may not approve of this activity but I would like to hear from someone with first hand experience. A reply via pm is fine.

I realize it is not cheap, generally $1900-$2100 for two shooters for two hours, I would like hear about first hand experience. I don't mind spending the money for a once in a life time hunt but would hate to get ripped off.

Wally,
I spent a few months surveying prairie chickens in Texas, with helicopters. Our best pilot was Andy Wheatly. He is the owner/pilot of

I'm confident he would give you a good helicopter hunt. You can get his phone number off his web site, so give him a call.

Default helicopter hunt costs?

Most of the Outfitters use a Robinson R-44 which cost about $400/hr to run, not factoring in the cost to purchase the machine. So at the (quoted) $2000 mark for 2 hours, that's not bad. Certainly not a rip-off!
Personally, I'd go with an R-66, much safer machine.
