Default How To Rig Your Line With Bait?

I am wanting to go pike fishing, how do I rig my line with bait for pike?
What hooks do I put on, what bait should I use?
I am fishing from shore.
Thanks

I usualy use a slip bobber and a quick strike rig. When fishing a bobber I use a slightly different version of a quick strike rig. I run the shank of a large treble right through my bait at about the middle and then run a stinger hook to the head, the bait hangs horizontaly and stays on better than with most other ways of rigging a quick strike.

Another good way is to use a slip sinker rig to fish on the bottom, when doing this you can also retrieve it in small hops like you would a jig. If you want more good ideas on rigging up bait check out some of the UK pike fishing sites, those guys have got fishing from shore down to a science and have all kinds of ways to custom rig baits on floats, sinkers, and various combinations of the two for darn near any situation.
