Default iceshanty rant

this is not a crtiscism of ice shanty but i have been trying to post a pic and can't figure how. thought i was opening an account at myfishingpictures.com and ended up joining some other fishing forum that i never heard of. was going to ask for help and it says that there is a "new topic" icon to hit to start a new thread but i can't find it. i know it must be me but i wish that site was as easy to navigate as this one. just wasted 3 hours of my life. rant over.

Dude, there is a "new topic" button at the top and the bottom of the thread window. Top right and bottom. Can't miss it. It is dark grey. Make sure you are in the "Ice Fishing Alberta CA" root window and not inside another thread.

PM IceAnvil on there if you are having further trouble.

I don't know why you wouldn't ask this question over there? First of all you need to be logged in and registered or you're not doing anything. It looks like they only support links from on line photo sharing sites like photo bucket. You would need a separate account for that.

no need for the sarcasm.

the "New Topic" icon is right beside the "Mark Read" icon.

Right hand side of the screen.

I'm guessing you're not logged in as well.

What is your handle?

Go to the tourney page, and at the top under the sponsor links is the sub board where the entries go. Pick the appropriate category and post your pic. You don't start a new topic for your entries...

From what I can see you need to go into a topic and then hit new tread, you cant do it from the the main page.

Hey,

I am the Alberta MOD over on IceShanty.

Drop me a PM and I can assist you with any issues you might have.
The forum format is a bit different from that of Alberta Outdoorsmen and can be tricky to navigate, but you should be able to set it up to your liking.

Out of respect to the Admins, Mods and Staff of AO, I will not post any links to Shanty. Save the Alberta page to your bookmarks and click there to go straight to the Alberta Section of that site.

As others have said, message me. Always willing to help.

Cheers,

Jonny Anvil.

Very much appreciated the pm. It shows good character. Like I said no worries. I think you'll find the vast majority of people on this site are more than willing to help a brother out (sisters too). I'm constantly blown away by the quality people I've met on this site.
