Default Drive on at Coal with a van?

hey guys, I was planning on going down to Coal tomorrow. However I sprained my ankle very badly, I was wondering if anyone knew the condition of the track onto Coal and if a van could navigate it without getting stuck?

If i were you i'd keep AMA's number handy in case you need a tow!

Not advisable to go on any frozen lake in a 2 wheel drive vehicle.. let alone a van.

With the amount of snow, i would wait untill summer to try it. If your tires slip off the trail it can be fun trying to get traction. Bring a bag or two of kitty litter to throw under your wheels if you get stuck.

South side of coal is tough access, the access point is steep and the snow is deep and chewed up, havent been to the north side in the winter but it's a pretty steep hill to get to the lake if I remember correctly. If you really want to go out in a van there are lakes with much better access. Mulhurst bay probably has a packed down trail on the lake

thanks guys, guess I'm not taking the van on tomorrow. I've taken my older van into some pretty sketchy places but with the new van I need to be a little bit more careful. Thanks for the info.
