Default Marlon Jon Boats?

Does anyone on the board here have any experience, positive or negative, with marlon jon boats. Looking at buying a ten footer(because of the weight man that thing is light 87 pounds) and just wanted to see what peoples opinion on them was.

Thanks,
FOTF

I think that the Lowe version is a little cheaper. Marlon seems to command more coin for roughly the same boat. I do have the Lowe 10-32 and it is easy to handle although you want to be sure of your balance as 32" can be a little tippy.

Yeah, I think they cost more because of the width. 32" wont cut it for stability, while the Marlon is just under 50" at the bottom. Guess you pay for the extra aluminum.

Maybe do a search on flybc, a few threads over there and some opinions from people that own one. I looked into them last spring and went a different route.

Pikergolf has some good advise there..Having had 2 10' sprngbok's,1 eaton's viking 10' & a 1032 crestliner.I now own the cadillac 10' spratley..Thickness of the alum. & width is critical things to pay very close attention to imo.pm me if you like

We've had a 10 ft Marlon jon boat for 2 years now(was a wedding gift from my cousins).Very stable,we can both be standing and casting without fear of tipping.
It's rated for a 5hp motor which we purchased this year.
Overall, very nice starter boat that got us off of the shore and onto the river(NSR) and lakes.
Hope this helps.
