Default Boat bottom coating

Anyone use Gluvit to seal up aluminum riveted boats?
Anyone use a bottom coating?

Use my 14’ aluminum on the river and it’s mostly a sand environment With chances of sticks as always and potentially a few gravel bars if I go that far.

Any thoughts ? What do you use if anything?

I’m thinking of sealing all seams and rivets then paint over that with a bottom coating like Wetlander.

An old aluminum I had many years ago I had a couple seam leaks and just Gluevit the whole joint right across. The stuff works great. Just make sure you wear gloves as the stuff can be a bit messy if used on a vertical surface. Remember that it needs to be painted if exposed too UV all day if I recall. It has been a long time but it stopped the leaks and went for several years.

I'd say if you can't hammer down or replace the rivet the Gluevit is an easy option that actually works and sticks.

I used a ton of it to repair a leaky boat I got for free years ago and it's ended up being dry as a bone after that.
