Seems like he tested fate knowing the challenge. A recovering heroin/crack addict drinking as much booze as he did to connect to his hosts, make the show flow. Some people just have a fatalistic bent, not sure of the exact mental illness classification, but he knew he was pushing the limits. Sad for those who loved him.

Joe Rogan on his last podcast sheds some light on his close relationship with him. Bourdain was a huge mma fan and juijsitsu practioner.

I don't agree based on what I saw .....

There at least 2 episodes where he himself shot some birds and at least 2 with some big game (pig and deer IIRC).

He also ate freshly clubbed seal meat and ate caribou on an episode film in PQ.

Many of his friends were avid hunters, outdoorsmen and gun owners.

Tony was anti-Trump, YES, but he was not anti gun or anti hunting.

The support of Trump does not relate to your support/opposition to hunting and firearms - this does not go hand in hand in every case.
