Default Fishing and Camping Aug 8-10

Hi Everyone,
I'm going camping again on Aug 8-20 with my GF, her brother and his GF... we will be bringing along our two girls 2yrs and 1 yrs old. I do not own a boat in Alberta and have not decided where to go. Can anyone give me advice on a good camping area where i can also fish along the shores or the river? We're from Edmonton, and I wanna drive no more than 2.5 hrs... preferrably north or west... we've been to Jasper and Banff last month... Thx guys.

I actually came in here to recommend Carson

I've never stayed there overnight, but the campground seems pretty decent...as for the fishing - they stock the crap out of that lake, and it's easily fishable from shore along the boardwalk

carson has a top notch campground and the shore fishing is fun right off the sea wall usually.

you will enjoy it there.
