Default .22 ammo demand

Was chatting with a guy and apparently there's a shortage of 22 ammunition. The states have been buying them up. Any insight into this. Thanks

There is a shortage but it is still around, 9mm is the same. Prices are going up as well. You have to shop around but it is there. Rem bucket of bullets most common but havent seen Fed in a while....

was down in texas last week, Nearly all places i went (basspro, ma and pa shops, walmart, etc) had slim pickings. pretty well federal gold match or CCI sub sonic was the only stuff available ,17 bucks a BOX (box of 50 that is!) and max 2 per customer per day.
