Been using them for a few years. Sometimes the fish go nuts over them... sometimes they won't touch them!

I'm actually not sure if any shops sell the completed patterns, sorry. Most shops sell the material though and I tie my own in red and tan, red has been more effective for me. The flies are actually very easy to tie but not very durable. They can react with other plastics and most glues which will make them melt.

I may have located a Canadian source for the materials but won't hear back until tomorrow. I'll let you know. There are some US sites that list the completed "fly" for sale...search in Google.

I watched a video. He used a Loon UV resin, noting that other glues will just melt the stuff.

I think lots of people go to the dollar store and find rubber balls that have the rubber string things on them, sorry, do not know what they are called. Just pull them off and tie on a hook!

I'm not sure where you're from but pretty much every fly shop in Calgary sells the material. It's easy to find.

Loon "Soft Head" is the only product I've used that didn't melt the material.
