Counted 36 last time I was down there scouting Are you trying to discourage me or are you not seeing any?

Default Drought

Lack of moisture this year may have afected horn growth in my opinion. Some of the stud bucks appear a bit smaller than they should be, at least in 102. Numbers are ok though. Good luck folks!

I scouted the afternoon today and saw none in WMU 128 where I was drawn. The word locally is that there were plenty around prior to the recent snow storm, but they've since moved on. Hoping for better luck tomorrow when the season opens. Still a lot of ground that needs to be covered.

Did you mean 104, 106 and 112? If so, lots of animals down there and landowners are really good. Or they were in the archery season anyway.

You should have a good time in your zone. Only 165 tags handed out this year...and if you think that's bad, I'm one of 262 that they handed out in 102/118. Over the last 2 days I think I've seen more trucks than antelope bucks! Quite a shame really. My neighbour tagged out yesterday in 104, and he said he saw very few hunters.

We saw a dandy in the NE corner of 104 on Sunday night while heading back to MR. I was hoping the herd would cross the hiway(880) overnight, but to no avail. If you are hunting the eastern most point of 104, be aware that the 880 is very very busy with traffic as it borders 102 and 104. Plus, the county is grading and adding gravel to the 501 right now. So along with all the hunters and 6 side dump gravel trucks, the dust was flying yesterday! HAHA.

I am taking a couple days off, hoping the pressure will subside a bit. Best of luck with your hunt!

Regards,

Blake

Your on the wrong side of the river to be getting a big Pronghorn. Go north, they are there.

I know it's not the biggest but considering the wind and the other hunters and being my first one I'm pretty happy with him. We seen decent numbers but they were spooked pretty early opening morning.

Default Another first morning buck.

This buck is not the biggest but it is a very pretty buck. The buck I was intending to take did not show up and I could not pass this one up.
Everything worked out just perfectly.
We had quite the audience that first morning.
Hopefully the picture shows up as I don't usually post pic's.

We ended up closing the deal on 2 antelope in 128 yesterday. After a disappointing scouting session Sunday and a tough day Monday, we saw quite a few small herds on Tuesday and got our bucks in the 100 km/h winds.

Finally got it done today. Saw a total of 57 antelope, 6 trophys and 51 non trophys. This was the best buck we saw in 2 days. Numbers were decent , but overall size off the bucks was down i thought. Can't seem to post pics but can text someone a picture if they would like to post it for me 😜

Default Big guy straddling the border

Anyone get any decent pics of the monster with only one cutter? Think it sat on the US side for most of the week. Friend of a friends dogs girlfriend gave me the intel.

Managed to get one but it was a struggle. Lots of hunters/trucks and very windy. Happy with this guy, went more for the experience than a head.

Got this guy on a friends land on Wednesday. Had my dad and son watching from the truck. Too bad his neck was pretty bare from barbed wire, but Marco at Sugar Creek has a spare cape
