They do use public safety as an argument for more gun control. That's what they say to the uninformed public that it's about safety. They lie about many things to further their agenda. Unfortunately much of the media goes along with it.

At this point in time I try to educate people on actual facts about guns in this country. What our existing laws are. Donate to gun organizations. Can't do much more until I find out what changes will be proposed if any.
If they had half a brain in their thick skulls they'd be worrying about real problems, like drug ods, alcohol induced deaths, stabbing deaths (which are higher than gun deaths!) and of course smoking!!!! Worry about those first they all by them selves kill more people than guns!!!! I'm sick tired of the flavour of the month club who just jump on the band wagon, these crying useless idiots should be worrying about real problems, like fentanyl!!!!! There's too many idiots in this country, and the leader is the biggest of them all!!!! "Oh guns are the problem" give me a break!! The problem is the idiots at the helm in this country who are blind to the real problems, Trudeau is the epitome of uselessness! No one cares about your stupid socks!!!

They want all guns gone not just semiautomatic ones. There is also many who want central storage, all guns locked up away from your house.

I'm hoping that the Libs don't give in to the anti groups with all there stupid demands. They have enough real problems that actually need to be addressed. Why decide to make guns an issue when there are more people dying from drug overdoses in Alberta alone than guns killing nationwide . Whats more of a concern for public safety? They don't want a criminals past to be used for sentencing process because it will backlog it too much. They really haven't done much to make things better, what happens if pot is delayed? Need to be able to check for drivers under the influence of it before it becomes legal. Legalize it without having police ready? Libs have a lot on there plate with most things going wrong for them.
Politicians (and especially ineffective ones like useless liberals) love to use red herring issues like gun control to divert public attention away from the actual serious problems of society which they have no clue what to do about. It gets people like us worked up and makes us forget about the real problems in the system that politicians are afraid to face (unemployment, deficit spending, overcrowded prisons, rampant drug abuse and trafficking, ineffective policing, etc., etc., etc.) Global warming is another red herring and the more we fret about these non-issues, the better it works for politicians.

How many homeless people froze to death in Canada last year? A billion dollars buys a lot of soup and warm beds.

.........their actions of financial and monetary favoritism and outright theft, of public assets or citizen power and freedom.

Just like how a pickpocket will grab your left arm as a distraction, while their other hand is deep inside your right pocket.

Whenever the presstitute media is loudly debating some 'vital' current event or issue, always ask yourself what they are not covering.

I also submit that Liberals (and Conservatives, or any other Government Party) are anything but 'ineffective' (or 'independent'),
and all are actually very adept at furthering the short term interests of themselves and their 'friends and fellow travelers',
and the strategic interests of their controllers, and other evil powers and ideologies they serve.

Good Luck, YMMV.
