After looking at different tents on the market, I figured frig it and used the Fatfish for the few camping trips myself and the missus went on. It works great, tarp on the bottom, tarp over the top if rain is in the forecast- and takes full size queen air bed with room to spare. Keeps the wind out, no worries about mesh and such, hasn't gotten dirty at all. Stayed at Two Jack campground last night, kind of chilly at elevation but clear skies, and so quiet and relaxing. Great moon! Zero signal on cell phone so nobody to bug us.
Did the loop from Eddy to Banff through calgary then back up 93 through Jasper. My girlfriend has never seen Minnewanka, two jack or Moraine - through many OMG moments, it's always great to go south. One night over Saturday is definitely not enough. She enjoys fishing, camping and the outdoors in general, tough to find this day in age - think i'll keep her
. I won't bother with pictures of the trip, mine will NOT do Banff to Jasper justice.
Not much in the line of wildlife, few elk, couple of rams. Seen a black bear on 93, cue the usual line up of traffic and rubberneckers. It was in a tree 20 feet off the hiway surrounded by cameras and people throwing food at it. I find it upsetting, that'll be a bear that's not scared of people and will some day have to be put down.
