Default Birthday At Battle Lake

I'm celebrating my birthday on saturday and a bunch of the boys and I are heading out to battle lake. I've heard good things and have never fished there before. I read not to drive on the ice due to springs. I also heard you just gotta go 200 yards northwest of the boat launch to have decent success. None of my buddies have been ice fishing before so I'd like to get them into some fish. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks

while the area you are talking about is not great for walleye you should catch some pike. parkers minnows very effective an inch or 2 of bottom. good luck and have fun. post some pics. after.

I think 200 yards northwest of the launch would put you in the parking lot.

First tip is don't drive on the lake, access on lakes in the area is brutal this year!

200 yards west of the boat launch is decent. If there is no bite you can pick up and head to the pp at pigeon which is only 10 minutes away...

Don't drive on the ice and have fun.
