Chubbdarter, this thread is really taking off; some great pics today! You posted a couple good ones; well done, sir! Have you ever tried trolling streamers for 'eyes?

Art Vandelay- Holy crap! Wicked pics, man. That baby moose is so danged cute!

Mr Christie- I'm not sure which of your photo subjects I'd least like to meet in the middle of a big, open field! Between that bull & Art Vandelay's huge bull moose, you could get a lifetime supply of jerky!

Chicken- nice shots; I like the random waffle!

Keep the pics rollin', y'all!

That's what I initially thought but aren't mink more of a forested animal and not a native grassland creature where that pic was taken.

I see mink down here along the reservoirs, not much forest in the hood

Default few crappy ones from this evening

Hit the river for a few minutes after working late, came across these 2 does at the canal, ended up splitting them, one on each side, the one on the far side got all anxious then decided to join the first, so she jumped into the canal and swam across, I thought it was kinda cool. Light was pretty much gone so they arent great.

Default Marten are a

Marten are strictly a forest animal, but mink are found anywhere / everywhere there is water. Mink are great swimmers, eating lots of small fish, mollusks, and invertebrates. I have watched them diving under water along streams and rivers many times.

Longtailed weasels eat mice, voles, insects, and ground squirrels among other things.

Nice pics though.

Default A couple shots from tonight

September one. I should have been perched in a tree tonight off the alfalfa, but JR wanted to go fishing. He didn't hook up tonight, but was busy on the net and did a fine job. Real buggy evening.

Annual 4Fly get to gether was this weekend for us. I had to miss it due to the fact my fishing buddy was leaving for Dubai. I tied and tested these flies all summer and my friend fished them in the 4fly. Anyway all you tyers out there copy these, I can post pics now because they cant be reused next year.
I cant type what the boys named them...or lildance will give me penalties.

You sure have a talent! Holy crap! I wish I could tie flies as good as that! When I have attempted too it looks like the fly went threw the blender! Aswell alot of "F bombs" get tossed around! Dad and uncle think it's funny! Guess I gotta practice more as 2 bucks a fly is pretty pricey!
