Default Bear baiting

Hey all, I was late the game baiting this year and have only had a site setup for about 2 weeks. I currently have one large bear coming in every night after dark. Just wondering how I can get more bears coming in? Or get the big boar to come in during shooting hours? Any advice is appreciated. I'm currently baiting with oats, molasses and commercial attractants. I've also noticed that out of the typical 100-150lbs of bait I put out, the boat will only eat 10-20 lbs a night.

beavers and sweets (donuts, maple syrup, honey, jello) work very well.

Might try some meat, higher protein concentration which is what bears are after this time of year. I always liked a 45 gallon drum vertically with about a 6 " hole near the bottom. If he has to work to get your bait, hunger might make him come earlier. My thoughts.

Thanks a ton guys, I am gone for the next 10 days but will be picking up some beavers to try when I get back. I have attempted a honey burn with no success. I also have been dumping about a gallon of molasses a week, I'm not sure adding more sweets would be of value.

If he’s eating 10-20 pounds just put in a couple pounds a day. Keep him hungry and coming back more regular

Want more stop by your local Chinese restaurant and grab a couple pails of used cooking oil. Spread it around the bait so it gets tracked around and away from site

Don't leave the food there over night , only place fresh food there during the morning and the after noon .
