Just thought of it ... perhaps this would be a good job for that famous Sylvan Lake Family, who knows NO rules.

A few quarts of 5-Star, a bang-stick and a case of Tannerite and those rednecks will get 'er done! The explosion might even singe the cheesy porn 'stache one of them was grooming up.

Unfortunately I'm not equipped to trap beavers this season.
Hopefully someone jumps on the opportunity to trap the most well known beaver in alberta.

Dont frett, in a couple of years you will have a one acre pond and every tree within a hundred yards will be gone. I believe commercial trappers are charging $250 per day. Until beaver go up from $30 no one will consider trapping them.

Get a damage permit and get in touch with some of the local archery clubs with a per head bounty - that is how the town got rid of some of the nuisance beaver here. I believe the guys were using 100 lb line on the bowfishing tackle.

Think you should call him Cecil. Gotta wonder, Callaway doing this all by himself ? Usually a family involved in these ventures.

Callaway Update
As recommended, I posted a Wanted "Dead" or "Alive" Notice to remove Mr Callaway on the Trappers Forum with a link to this post.
In response the replies and a few P/M's offering advice .... so far no interest from any A/O members/trappers to have them removed. I'm sure the Golf course's annual budget would cover the cost of removing the Callaway Family, on the basis of a fair and reasonable price.
I'll be seeing the Superintendent on Monday we plan to put up the Wood Duck Nest box's that I built and will pass on any info received in regards to this post.

From a previous tread ....

Good News UpDate
A fellow "qualified" A/O member/trapper who lives in Sylvan sent a P/M this afternoon, I put him in touch with the Golf Course Superintendent, I understand they should be getting together this week. The Callaway Family may be short lived.
Will update further next week.
Cheers

Another Update
In regards to the most famous beaver in Sylvan, member "Centralalbertasongdogslay" posted the following on the Trappers Forum on Oct 30th.
Callaway has met his fate. Another happy golf course and homes he almost dropped trees on!
RIP

It's in some ways a bit ironic that Callaway met such a fate because of his industrious work ethic, if only there were a way to transfer that trait to some humans that are so sorely lacking in that department.

In Regina around Wascana park they used to use the local Archery club to fiw the beaver problems, there was a lot of hollering from the PETA types about it not sure if they still do that.

Damned Humans keep building golf courses where beavers live. Time to stop building Golf courses.

The next time I see the golf course G.M. I'll suggest they should put up a monument or bench or something in honor of MR. Callaway.
I understand old Callaway was a big one, Jeff (trapper) said it was in the order of 45 lbs, I imagine it would make a nice one of these.
