Default Furnace Igniter Online Purchase

Looks like the annual replacement of the furnace igniter is up. I usually buy off the local hvac business but getting costly there, anyone know where online I could make a respectable purchase of a Nordyne 903758 igniter off a Frigidaire G6RA096C-12-H Gas Furnace? I've tried Amazon and looked at lots of US sites but hard pressed to find the part in Canada. Best I seen was $25 with $40 shipping from states.

You can always use a universal replacement as well, the silicon nitride units have a longer lifespan than the silicon carbide ones. The silicon nitride ignitors have a smooth finish while the silicon carbide ones appear porous and grainy. Honeywell makes a universal one called a Glowfly, you just have to select the correct bracket for you application.

Try Sinclair Supplies Edmonton. If you can't get it for under $50 let me know and I'll pick one up for you next time I'm there and ship it to you.

Thanks for the replys I will look into these suggestions. These igniters apparently can't even be touched let alone cleaned, delicate little expensive suckers for sure. They were around $24 in recent years now it's $80 plus, wife and kids will have to double up on the sweaters until Monday.

As Caber mentioned: https://www.forwardthinking.honeywel...y_feature.html
I always keep one of these around, as they can be made to work on pretty well any unit out there that uses a hot surface ignition. I generally buy them wholesale, but have seen them at home hardware an Canadian tire in the past, about $18 IIRC

Hooked.., did you say this is an annual thing that you do every year? something doesn't sound right. Why does it fail every year?

I believe Sinclair will only sell wholesale and not to retail off the street.

check out Tin Star.ca spruce grove area
