Default Cutbank/Hillards lake access?

Can anyone comment on the lake access at Lesser Slave, Hillards/Cutbank area, are there any ice ridges or heaves so far? looking to drive on with a 1/2 ton.

Went to cutbank there's a big ice ridge about half way out. Didn't look like trucks were crossing.

The access is good once you get across about 40 yards of nasty rutted holey ice. Right off the public boat launch is VERY rough, but I have gone over it with my 1/2 ton about 10 times in the last two days.....you'll be fine, just take er slow, and its very short, as I said, no more than 40 or so yards. Then you can pretty much drive a car to Cutbank - its nice and smooth!

As for the ice ridge, yeah its theres, and pretty big in some spots, but there is an excellent crossing about half way to Cutbank, there is NO problem at all with crossing. We have been out at Cutbank for three days getting things set up.
