Default Salted Minnows

Takes about 12 hrs to do your own and will be salted to your liking.

Depends on the bait, small minnows ( 2 doz ) I make a brine with 2 cups of salt with 1 gal water in fridge over night. Bigger bait (6-8" ) cover completely with salt in sealed container leave in fridge at least 12 hrs, rinse quick, pat dry and good to go. Still have doz 8" Herring in the freezer from last year and are still in good shape.

I did it the hard way . I caught 15 dace using a # 14 hook and some maggots. Got them soaking in salt water for the night . There a little bigger than what I usually use for trout but hopefully that means I'll catch bigger fish.
