I vote wall tent. I like a truck camper rig for road tripping and bush camping, but if you're going to use your truck for getting around while hunting its a PITA having the camper on. IMO I'd rather set up a wall tent than pull a truck camper on and off in crappy conditions (soft ground, high winds etc) any day.

Camper means lots of condensation on the walls. It works but hard to dry anything out and it's hard on the camper. OK in early season. For early & late hard to beat a wall tent. Only problem with wall tent is no where to lock anything up if in the boonies.

I throw a tarp on the floor and stack the quarters on it, travel with windows open [when it's not raining] to keep cool.

We put the camper on a flat deck, then you can still use your truck. Been out in -25C lots and never had a problem with propane freezing but that may be because of where the propane tanks are located in the Okanagon camper. The furnace is gravity fed [no fan] and puts out nice dry heat, you only get moisture from propane if you have an open flame. Mine is an 8 foot on an aluminum snowmobile trailer, my buddies is a 10 or 11 foot on a heavy duty steel tandem. I put the atv in the truck box and pulled the camper on trailer with a 6 cyl GMC and was only using 14L/100K on my 2017 hunting trips.

I have always liked the camper on the trailer idea. Buy enough trailer to transport anything else u own as well.
