So I want to buy my little bro his first rifle for his seventh birthday. I have a ad in the buy and sell but if nothing turns up I will just buy something sooooooo what do you have your youngsters shooting or what would be your choice for a youth .22?

I have a old cooey 64b that I chopped the Stock down to fit my daughter then I got her to pick the paint color she wanted. Then we painted and assembled it together. Here is the final product.

Maybe find something the two of you can do up as a project gift. It might mean more to your little brother when the two of you spend quality time together building it.

TC has a real nice ...small single shot 22 cal. It's called the "Hot Shot"...comes in black, camo and pink. Great for youngsters. Comes with a peep sight. Thinking about geting one for my grandsons next year, They run about 230.00 here B4 taxes.

Here's the TC link have a boo at em.

Yeah that is a thought. I want it to be a surprise though. The look on his face will be priceless!

browning bl22...also comes in a youth model (micro midas I think) although the standard model seems pretty compact to me as well.

A classic that will last them their life.

I got my boy a savage single shot Mark 1 G (Not the Youth Model) So that he has one he can use when he is older too!... It does have a 21" barrell so it is very manageable for him. His little brother even shoot sit!...

Of course he is a big 9 year old!...
