Default youth load 270 wsm

Looking for a reduced recoil load in a 270 wsm. Will be loading 110 TTSX. Have about 3/4 pounds of H4227 I was hoping to use up. Anyone loaded the 270 WSM with reduced loads.

Thanks

Go to Hodgdon's website and see if any reduced load data is there, and if no reduced load data exists, fire off a quick email to them asking for any.

Would running a min load on a light bullet be reduced enough?

It worked well on my 7-08 but that's a mild round to begin with.

Went out today and tried 50 grains of imr 4350 and a 110 ttsx. Almost no recoil and an inch group, should work ok

That sound great, I like to try redced loads for plinking or shooting targets. The only thing that sounds a bit off to me, is why use such an expensive bullet. Try Sierra HPBT's, cheaper and bloody accurate.

She will be chasing deer this fall, figured the 110 ttsx would work for this, I will try some less expensive bullets this summer to practice with.

Checked the Hodgdons site, it shows 59 at the bottom end of the data. Will send them a email

thanks
