FYI, i bot some foam of unknown origin once, and it causes a mottled appearance on the blueing.
not sure whether it was the oil on the gun reacting with the foam or the foams ability to retain moisture...either way it wasnt a good day for my 1959 huskavarna 3006.
either way it had to be reblued
learning that lesson, i would suggest a impermiable oversock that seals the gun in it, then store with desicant pellets
