I had to replace my 14 year old springer, great hunting dog. Got new springer, she is 4 months old chewing everything, driving my wife nuts. Anyone want springer for half price $$? Just kidding could not part with her even if she can be pain in a-s.

We are picking up this little guy tomorrow, he is a retriever/poodle cross. We have a 6 month old baby boy as well, so it should be cool seeing them grow up together. It’s going to be a busy home for sure tho!

Never know, maybe I’ll be able to train him to retrieve some birds or shed antlers, but his primary purpose is to be a campaign for our growing family.

Cute pup! Keep an eye on your wife tho. She might try to train him to bring dirty diapers to the garbage can.

That's a perfect birthday treat.

I have a cat that I inherited over 10 years ago. I don't like cats, and this damn thing is no exception. But every year at Xmas, he gets a whole Xmas dinner with gravy and all of the fixins. It takes him 2 days to eat it all.

Default Our new Bluetick is 1 year old.

She's funny, obstinate, smart ( if she had thumbs we"d be in trouble), cuddly, wiggly and very out doorsey, and at 75lbs, she's all muscle and will go for hours. . She is just starting to be a good dog, lol. She loves her two cats and her toys. Won't chase a rabbit, but will let you know when there's a moose close by. Wouldn't trade her for anything, even if her and my wife have contests about who gives the most side eyes to each other.

She's a big lap dog. Ya it takes a long time of patiently waiting for them to realize "ohh I'm not supposed to do that" lol.

Mine is starting to figure it out. But with the short attention span, forgets easily.

When we lost our Bernese to old age I was in no rush to get another dog. A lady replied to my add, said she had a puppy, 9 weeks old that was a standard poodle/Shepard/husky mix I could have for free. She got it from her Aunties litter but her dogs on the farm are trying to kill it.
So I picked up the fluff ball, was real funny as he was black when he was a puppy. He does not shed so after a few cuts his color totally changed.

He does things that people pay alot of money to get a dog to do.
First hunting trip I realized he was not scared of any guns, shots etc. Then we went for grouse, he started flushing birds, has a super soft mouth and retrieves. I literally did not train him a single day to do this.

He has a real knack for finding everything. Birds, bears, SQUIRRELS! etc.

He is highly intelligent, very loyal. As soon as hes in the house he lays around, loves to cuddle and sleeps. As soon as it is playtime its like he has a switch and knows when to turn it on. He is very protective. Good luck ever trying to get up our driveway let alone break into our house.

Boe is an amazing dog. We really lucked out.

When he sees the gun out, he gets PUMPED

He loves squirrels, He finds squirrels long before you hear or see them. He also eats the friggin things

He found a muskrat one day, they fought for quite some time, this is a picture of them taking a break from battle, was just perfect timing and to funny of a picture

Hes a goon some days

He is not friends by choice with this other feathery family member

LOVES fishing

Hes agile

Well our puppy turned 3 the other day. 3 months that is. He's starting to calm down a bit and not be so wild. Which is nice because he's getting big. We were starting to think that he was possessed. We weighed him yesterday and hes exactly 35 lbs. He weighs more than our 3 year old boy now.

He's getting some raw food now. I think he eats better than we do.

Sometimes I take him on parts runs with me during the day.

If we are bragging up our best friends and family companions, I will share a few snippets of our Chessie Ransom.
Where does the time go?
The transition from new pups happens so fast.
We have had a blast with Ransom.

12 weeks

4 months

We got a new kennel for the puppy. He couldn't stretch out in the large crate anymore. I'm hoping this is the last one we buy. He'll be 5 months old in another week and a half. It's definitely like having another kid in the house. At least now he knows when he's doing something wrong. So he stops when you tell him to. Well most of the time anyway.

He has all of his shots so we take him for walks now. We're hoping to introduce him to lots of other dogs.

He's still not photogenic. He always moves at the last minute.

He eats a nice steak every night. With joint supplements and probiotics. Along with some salmon oil.

He's getting pretty heavy now too. Lifting him into my truck or the boss's jeep is getting to be quite the chore.

How's everyone else's puppies coming along?
