Ouch. Dach's short handed goal was pretty much the story of the game. Losing all the battles.

Is Draisaitl hurt? Watching the way he went in for his shoot out attempt, he didn't look like he was comfortable skating. Just my impression.

He looks so slow.. that attempt on the shoot out was little to no effort.

Bettman point

Was a good fast game though, lots of chances at both ends, they got a couple lucky bounces and we hit a couple posts,

The big german looks off, not sure if he is just tired or hurt ??

Yea, no you didn't. Say what you want about Looch, but "little to no effort" will be wrong every time.

Heard an interesting stat on the radio on the way into work today. Kane is 3 for 25 (12%) on lifetime shootout attempts. Kane being Kane, I thought he'd be close to 50%.

I was thinking more form and speed of foot (and I've always been a Looch fan)

They mentioned that stat last night when he was up. I was a little surprised as well

They have struggled again since the all star break, happens all the time when they get a break, they had 5 games since the break all against teams in the east and all against teams that are out of the playoffs, should have been a rather easy stretch for them as they were rolling going into the all star break. Not so they lost 3 of the 5 games ? they had a chance to make a real lunge for top spot now they are going to have to work hard to stay in a playoff spot.

Detroit played a good game last night. Never take a bottom dweller lightly, they're still an NHL team, top hockey players in the world. Look what the desert dogs did to TB last night.

The Kraken and the Golden Knights both gained ground again last night, we get the Rangers tonight, we need 2 points out of this game

Ahhh, I doubt you do. Can't really see the Flames or Nashville (10 pts back) catching you.

Leave nothing to chance, the sure way is to win and not hope other teams loose

If the oilers win this one and Campbell isn't 1 star something wrong, it could very well be 5 - 4 Rangers right now

Feel for Campbell and 29 is not allowed in shootouts anymore. Slapshot, really?? Terrible & lazy looking..

29 should not be in shootouts or first line in OT- too dang slow and stays out way too long. Put hyman or nuge out instead

4-1 lead blown and the Oilers continue to do Oiler things once again.

That was a garbage shootout attempt by Drai with the game on the line as well.
