Default Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument

Just spent some time there on google maps and looking at the photos in the side bar. Wow what a beautiful area. Maybe I'll get to visit there some day.

Definitely on The list.
Whole bunch of the interior, the Dakotas, Wyoming, Colorado and Montana, where the land is big and the towns are small.

Spent most of a year east of Winnifred. Big Missouri breaks there, antelope, deer, elk, cougar, and a bunch of transplanted bighorns. Oh, and too dang many snakes. Awesome big sky country.

My one bit of advice if you go and visit. If there is rain in the forecast don’t go! That soil turns to gumbo and you will be stuck out there until it dries up. Not uncommon to see campers just abandoned on the side of the road stuck until things dry back out.
