Default For those of you who knew Duffy...

Just found out that he passed away on his way to AFGA conference yesterday.

While there wasn't too many issues we agreed on, he was a strong voice in our community.

God bless Robin.

Very sad to hear that, we sure had our arguments and differences of opinion on here, but he seemed like a genuine guy. My condolences to his family.

I guess he's not coming to grab a skunk by the tail at my place.
He said it could be done no problem but never took me up on my offer to watch him do it.

Judging by his posts that I remember on the subject, he will be at peace with his god.

Wow as much as we may have clashed on certain things he always brought up topics that generated a bunch of valuable discussion.

I will never forget the penguin camo jacket....RIP.

I do not recall ever actually crossing swords with Duffy which... in retrospect made him a pretty rare bird.
I do recall that he liked to mix it up a bit... challenge ideas and keep folks thinking.
He was a bantum...and I like that quality in people regardless of whether or not I always agree with them.
My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

God speed Duffy.

Anyone know how Duffys wife is doing?

That's to bad to read.
The Penguin jacket was fantastic!

No doubt about it. Godspeed on your journey to the great hunting ground over yonder. RIP

Yes, Robin had a way of getting you engaged in a conversation and could really get you thinking. F&G meetings won't be the same.

Rest in Peace Duffy.

Funeral services are being planned for next week, I will update when I find out.

Though many here didn't agree with his position regarding ATV's, none can deny that he was a great Promoter and supporter of Hunting, Fishing, and outdoor recreation. The weekly column he wrote in the local paper was that of the average Alberta hunter, not the professional hunter hype you read in many magazines.
Rest in Peace my friend, watch over us as we continue to enjoy the outdoors you so loved!
