How is the ice? Is it safe to drive out on?

I had hard time to drill through - takes almoust all the auger. No snow, no water on it. I didn't have to drive - fished for whites with my son - got 4 in <1m of "dirty" water early in the morning and left (Should have gotten x2 more - "mormysh" rod takes getting used to, but fun)

was on the north end tonight. still is lots of hard ice, has not started to honeycomb at all. still some snow and a few decent drifts. didn't have to put the truck in 4wheel, but had to hit the drifts with some momentum. north end access off the launch is still good.
