Default Two man setup for spring bear

Now with the plans to get back into spring bears I guess I better come up with new sitting arrangements for my new hunting partner. I always hunted alone out of a home made stand but with an added hunter I'll have to change thingS up a little bit. What's everyone recommendations for hunting with a new/youth? two man ladder stand, ground blind or two single man stands the later being what I currently own.
Thank you

If your partner is fairly young I would be using a ground blind. Safer, tolerate movement much better than a tree stand, covers movement better, means he can play with phone, have a snack etc. Also much easier to get in and out of. Other option is to build a platform 5 feet off the ground that you can use to sit in chairs. Use camo cloth to create a hide and barrier.

I have hunted with adult and 3 youth now for first bears. Either make a nice.platform as Dean2 mentioned.
Or buy a comfortable 2 man stand. Youth are fidgety as it is a comfortable stand make.for a easy evening sit. Also I cleared lot of side bush away from the access point going in. didn't want yogi getting spooked and charging while my kid was walking in with me. The other option is if possible I found a spot were 2 large spruce grew real close together. One ladder to climb up and a hanger next to it. Worked well. But need the right tree set up
Have fun and shoot straight

We often used a ladder stand and a hang on beside it. Lots of time you can get an inexpensive one man ladder way cheaper than any 2 man I found.

Thank you for the suggestion, I’ll be heading out for some scouting near the end of March and will access the location for a ladder hanger combo or ground blind.

Two people, twice as much scent, movement noise, conversation no doubt, maybe a snack or smoke, doesn't sound like a good idea.

Taking your Kid or any Kid hunting is an EXCELLENT idea. Quit being a Richard.

I have sat in a treestand in the same tree as another hunter, in another treestand, and I have sat in ground blinds. I much prefer ground blinds.

Largest bear I have shot, and it was definitely big, we had four guys sitting.
Two on the seat in my two man tree stand, one sitting on the platform with his legs dangling, and one in a climber five yards away.
Baited bears, once accustomed, don't care that you're up in a tree.

OP, depending on the age of your kid, I recommend a two-man stand so that you can whisper back and forth without making a bunch of movement.
We have done climbers in different trees, and climbers one above the other. The only way I'd be going with my kid is if I could sit beside him and talk him through all of it.

You're right, I was thinking of a couple of guys on opposite sides of the political fence trying to keep their opinions to themselves.

I would go with a ground blind for someone who is new to hunting. I think it is a much more fun environment and also makes someone who is new to hunting feel a little bit more protected from the elements when they're inside of the tent.
