Anyone been out there this year think im going to try it today

This is the "hunting" forum. There is a fishing forum in another location. You should try there.

I haven't fished Devils lake in three years. However, for a word of caution be careful when walking the north west corner of the reeds on the south side of the lake. There is a big spring there that actually keeps the water open in mid winter. One of the locals were also telling me that there are quite a few more springs in that area.

My buddy was there last weekend only caught a few pike and a perch

Sorry Duff, didnt realize that till after. I dont check the hunting area much at this time of year.
