Default Leupold BackCountry scope mounts?

Has anyone seen them up here yet?

Korth doesn't show them instock yet, so I doubt anyone has them.

They look like a good Talley LW alternative.

I too would like to see a set in hand - hopefully the real thing doesn’t have that gaudy “L” on the tops like their steel rings.

I would also like to see them offered in steel and stainless steel.... but that won’t happen.

Here here on the stupid L. I just dug to the back of the rack yesterday to buy an old set of DD rings for that very reason.

I really enjoy the stamped logo L in the top of the rings.

I was curious how this 1 piece ring compared to talleys. I have two sets of talley light weights and I haven’t even mounted them yet. I enjoy Leupold rings and bases a lot more with the Leupold scopes.

Here is a pair on a rifle.

I still almost prefer the look of dual dovetails.

These are Perfection in my mind. But really unavailable.

Oh my. <drools>

I'll take any of the above, but strongly prefer the middle sample...

They actually don’t look anything like them. Base shape is totally different as is the ring shape.

You are right. All scope rings are round on the inside. Excellent observation. You will notice though, that the outside, while containing radius, are not.

Similar type of ring/base combo. But the Leupolds look far nicer, to my eyes. The Talley LWs never were much for style points, IMO.

Honestly if your going to drop that much on Leupold you might as well spend a little more and get a set of near mounts

Talley does a great job supplying hundreds of different styles, finishes etc.
And they look fine. And you can get them. Never a problem with the rings or their service.

Looks like Leupold released these last summer/fall. And put more effort into the webpage then they did on manufacturing/supplying them.

Hopefully Chuck gets a set and tells us how good they are.

I’ve used NEAR. Great mounts, things I didn’t like, and unfortunately are not an option on the rifle I’m looking at mounts for.

Another interesting set I’ve used. These I bought from Lex Webernick almost 20 years ago.

I’ve never been a fan of Leupold
Never hopped on that band wagon
There’s always been something that was better for my needs that has been cheaper

😎😎😁😉

It just seems like they went from being a trend setter to being a follower. Now it looks like they are trying to regain their position in the market.

Talleys are readily available and cost less than the Leupold. I have several sets of the Talley LW.
