In of the other mind set, would have liked to see the split draw. At the end of the day though, no changes is a lot better than some changes that could happen, lol!

PS - if anyone has an 85"+ antelope they really want gone, feel free to send me directions hahahha

The increase in draw applications year over year are pretty staggering!

Draw code 15 antlered white-tail deer

2013 - 2800 total applicants
2014 - 3200
2015 - 5200+!!

Although on the upside, it *is* nice to see more interest in hunting, and more dollars going into it.

Default Full Draw

Would like to see all species on draw someday. No more across the counter chaos. Find out where all the pressure on the wildlife really is.

Don't worry...someday your wish will likely be granted. But it won't tell you what you want to know.

You had a great year last year for sure. Perhaps you can top it. I only hope to shoot a whitetail as great as yours from last year.

Same for me on my computer: it stalls at about 170KB in. When I opened it on my phone though, it downloaded in about 5 seconds (the whole PDF).

Seems to me that would indicate the total collapse of wildlife numbers.

Not sure what you mean by "across the counter chaos". I've not been near a counter in years.

And what exactly makes you think you are "special"? LOL

Glad to hear about the draws being out. I don't know about you, but when they come out I always feel a bit like the lead up to Christmas, looking through the Sears "Wish Book" when I was young.

It's all the outfitters fault that residents can't get tags ya know lol
This kinda proves how many new people we have had into the province moving in. You can't keep getting tags like you used to with that type of numbers moving in

Well with this economy let's hope lots of east coasters who shoot everything to fill their tags whether they need it or not have gone back east.

They can shoot more in one season than they can shoot back there in a decade, many can't handle it.

You may want to blame the ones who make up the regulations and not the ones who follow them.

I refuse to get involved today with any debates about our draw system, but do wish everyone good luck on their draws.
Unless, of course, we are both drawing for the same thing. LOL
Hope the printed booklet is out soon.

Whether they need it or not? I dont think I need to shoot an antelope every 14 yrs cuz I need it. Feel free to PM me and vent about easterner stuff. Uncalled for.

Not to derail post but I have a question. It states in the regs that first time hunters require Hunters ed.This is where I am confused as I have a friend that has never held a hunting license but has been active purchasing fishing license with his win.He wants to start hunting this year but I informed him he would not be able to without hunter ed..He logged into albertarelm and purchased his wildlife cert and a bear tag no questions ask about hunter ed number. Is this just a per chance thing that happened or is it set up this way on purpose.Of course argument insued as I thought it was bull that he could do this.According to another friend of his he also did this and has been hunting for 4 years now. What gives? My daughter is 12 and just passed her hunters ed course, cant wait for sept. Now to get her up to 40lbs before then,Currently shes shooting 34 lbs so hopefully we can squeeze another 6 out of it before hunting season
