Default Custom Knife Making

My friend got into knife making and I asked if I could tag along with the process and make myself a new Fillet knife and Hunting Knife. I have a new appreciation for for quality knifes after finding out how much work is involved in making a good knife! It was a lot of fun and thought I'd share a few pics from the process.
1- Template process
2- Grind to shape of knife
3- Heat treat
4- Etched my initials on knife
5- Put on the handle
6-Finished products!

Need to go back to his place to make some sheaths still, but I am extremely happy with the end result!

Got to try the fillet knife out today on some walleye and it was fantastic! Can't wait until hunting season when I hopefully get to try the hunting knife out.

Very nice, You're lucky to have a great friend like that. Looks like a nice setup. What's the blade steel and handle material?

Yes I am! The fillet knife is AEB-L and the hunting knife is CPM S35VN Stainless. I can't remember what the wood was called though, it was the same on both knifes.
