just out doing some fishing a few kilometers form my house

Elk, deer and moose are all still in velvet. They don't even start losing it until well into September. It's only June now, last I checked.

Nope that there is the ultra-rare never-soft ungulate variety. That and that picture was taken in the fall by the looks of the foliage.
