Very simply, if every goalie we played this year, played their average on that night, we would be much better in the standings. So if Elliott or McElhinney or Markstrom or Ward or etc all played their .905 to .920 save percentage on the nights we faced them then would have won those games. But for some reason several goalies this year have had outstanding performances against the Oilers. Not making excuses, it is just plain statistics that are not going our way. Now there has been several games that we earned the loss but there has been just as many that we earned the win and didn't get the points and those are the real killers.

Could the save percentage of these goalies just all be high because the players on the other team suck?

Where would suggest they start a turn around or come back? On a loss or on 3 well played games? Don't worry I haven't booked time off for the last week of May/ first of June yet, but as a fan I am hoping for the best.

Do you want the Shames to lose?

The mental gymnastics and effort to show how Mighty they are is amazing....but I agree, the stats aren't in the Oilers favor.

Did they shorten the season to 32 games instead of the 82 games?

Yes, I agree it would be easier if our goaltender was the reason for 90% of our wins this year like the Shames, but it looks like we will need the entire team to "Mighty" if we are going to claw our way into a playoff spot.

8 games remain this month ,if they win them all life will be good!

If they go on a nine game streak it will tie the team's record.

Uh huh. 'Shames'.....sticks and stones and all that. Spin it any way you like, obviously the 'Shames' don't really deserve to have 7 more points then the 'SOilers'. But they do.

No they don't! But deserve has nothing to do with the standing.

Hahahaha! I will offer a drink to the "Flames" on Christmas day as the war will cease for a brief moment of brotherhood. Other than that, it is game on!

I found this amusing, quotes from a recent TSN article:

"But as I sit here today, I’m 100 per cent convinced the Ottawa Senators need to give up on this season and start thinking about the future."

The Sens are one point behind the Oilers with a game in hand.

Karlsson was asked to give his no-trade list. I think it might of been the GM who said "it doesn't matter how good a player is, he can be traded. Look at what happened with Gretzky"

If that trade ever happened it would be bigger than Subban for a Weber. Fun to speculate what type of player would need to go the other way. Draft picks will not cut it for Karlsson. Ottawa would need a number 1/2 defense in return as they are not that deep on the blue line. Thinking about it and his up coming contract and cap hit, it might be impossible for any team to take him for what they will want in return.

Tonight’s the big night!

Those cousin lovin’ Turds from Nashville are coming to Etown hot off a 7-1 drubbing of the Canuckleheads.

If we are victorious tonight....

Sky’s the limit! Cup bound!!!!

Mcdavid out for an undisclosed amount of time. Possible fractured vertebrae. Doesn’t look good.

Even though Saros is in net, I'd be impressed if they won.

Shots 31-10 for Oilers, very dominating....can't understand the 2-0 Predators score thing at all.

Edit. 3-0

4-0......

Honestly, I've been watching the other game, all I see are the stats on my game app, and I'm baffled....33-13 shots, and down 4-0 is insane. With that much offense when are the Preds even in the Oilers zone?
