302 is predominatly private. 400 is crown and very overused. You want to join in the chaos, knock yourself out

Very nice, big and intense country. Lots of crown land. Very tuff hunting and that is putting it nicely, but could be very rewarding. Have gone 0 - 3 the last couple years trying to bag an elk around their. Gets quite a bit of pressure as well. Seen 4 grizzlies, 2 black bears and 8 wolves in 4 days last year hunting that area, shot a big male wolf on the last day. Some nice moose but its not a guarantee in their even after waiting 17 years or so for a tag. Hopefully foot access hunting opportunities will still be available in that area with the new castle park being implemented, I am not familiar with any of that at the moment. Should get better in time for the game with more restrictions on the quads and other off-road enthusiasts not being allowed in their.

Beaver lake is not in 302. You could just google castle provincial park maps and find Beaver lake. If you go out of the provincial park you will be on private land "wmu 302" or in a wildland park with alot of restrictions. If you want to call a wildland park crown land you can. But I dont.
