I had to buy a Crew Cab this year 'cos the kids (16 & 14 respectively) have outgrown both the extended cab & their dad.

Default That feeling

Last week our oldest daughter turned 18.
I watched the trailer for the new Star Wars movie, man Harrison ford looks old!i remember him looking young cool and awesome in empire, it just came out a few years ago right?

Going for lunch downtown and checking out some of the waitresses until I realize they are close to my daughters age, the. I feel like a DIRTY old man.

Great thread.

Reading glasses
Old bones, cold starting to get to me.
The fart thing.
White hairs in my beard.

I coach men's football. I said do it this way, the guys look at me and say "ya coach, they did that 20 yrs ago"!!!! I thought about it, ya, I guess things have changed. Then I smashed them into the ground, like an "Old lineman" would. Showed them. Ha!

Ah yes. The back...and ears. And having to trim the ol' eyebrows. Not as exciting as getting hair growing in new places, 25 years ago.

I used to be able to read the writing on a dime now I need my glasses to find one in my change.
Used to fall down and spring back up on my feet now I just lay there trying to figure out how to get up at all.

I remember using paper money with King George VI picture on them. My oldest granddaughter will be 25 on her next birthday. I remember getting a half day off from school when the Stampeders won the Grey Cup in 1948.

I was 10 years old when Sgt Windolph, 7th US Cavalry died. He was the last white survivor of the Battle of the Little Big Horn. Thirteen years before I was born, Wyatt Earp was still alive.

Thanks, FM. Will look into it.

Great thread. Sadly, I can relate to a lot of these!

Trying to explain to my kids what a VHS and a cassette tape are. Thinking I could clarify, that conversation transitioned over into CD's and "burning" music onto a CD which really only confused them more........and I didn't even start into vinyl or 8-tracks!!

Patio blocks and loaded wheelbarrows get heavier every year. Or maybe Earth's gravity is increasing...?

I watch my videotapes sometimes.

What hair?

I felt old trying to explain the 'Odd Couple' (Tony Randal as Felix, Jack Klugman as Oscar) to my employee today....my two dogs remind me very much of that show, their personalities and character, so it was a funny comparison for me. Until I had to explain it.

There are no more reruns. .......even if I just watched it two nights ago.

Can ignore anyone, because I'm old and my hearing is going.

The young women used to say, "Knock it off, you're old enough to be my dad. " Now I get " Knock it off, you're old enough to be my Grampa."

I mentioned a 4 track player in my truck, the other day and my Grand daughter told my wife I was buying a quad.

I vote Conservative.
