Default Ghost Lake Burbs?

Hello all,
I am searching to find and catch my first burbot. I have heard stories and rumours of burbots frequently caught in the Ghost Res. If anyone can help lead me to catching my first Burbot in the Ghost, that would be great!

Good luck on that one. I too have tried several times but the only one I iced was almost too small to eat the bait. Reminded me of the burbot at Pine Coulee that everyone was so excited about a few yrs. bac,

Ghost Lake is a very tough lake to fish for burbot. You have to get far away from the crowd of people close to the bridge and move far up the lake. use a big jig or spoon with glow paint on it and glob on the bait of choice. try to find a sandy flat bottom with deep water(+40ft).

Thanks for the tips, seems like maybe Ghost is a hard place to find a Burb. Any nearby areas that I can fish for burbs lets say within an hours drive from Cochrane?
