Default Lac La Plonge

Heading up there next week for a couple days and then going to fish Keeley on the way home.

Has anyone fished there?

Planning on a day of Laker and then a day of Pike and trying walleye in the evening.

Tips and comments welcome

Cheers

bring some cold lake specials and some buzz bombs. Dan at the lodge will point you in the right direction. I usually have good luck by the big island.

Love to hear how u make out there. Used to go there and stay at my friends cabin near the lake every summer... That is until life got n the way. Caught lakers down rigging with some locals. Some big pike in the bay's too. Never ice fished it though.
Good luck!

No walleye in Lac la Plonge. Jacks will be hard to catch, but if you get one it could be big. You need knowledge of the lake for trout. Talk to Dan at the store. Better yet rent one of the ice shacks he has out on the lake

Just got back
Fished 1 day at La plonge caught 6 lakers and lost six more. It was -30. Ended up renting a shack.. normally I like to try different depths all day but the weather won that day.
Day 2 drove to Pinehouse and fished for 3.5 hours. Walleye fishing was awesome. Cold again and had issues with the weather and the snow mobiles

Today we were gonna fish keeley decided to just drive home. Hopefully hit Cold Lake Monday

Cheers

What can you rent off Dan? Cabins to sleep in on the lake? Cabins on shore?

When you rent a cabin on shore in the winter they give you a complimentary shack on the lake for day use
