Where’s A Kipper when ya need one....?

Could you say Flames are 18 points ahead of the Oilers, and only one point out of a play off spot, and there are still 23 games to play? Ducks hold the 3 spot in the Pacific by one point, Flames have a game in hand....maybe a bit early to say they are missing the playoffs. They might, and they might not. Depends if they get Smith back soon or not.

Kinda funny how y'all wants to pretend the Oilers still have a mathematical shot at post season, and the Flames are cooked....

Say it slowly now....

'eight....teen....points...ahead!'

Im looking forward to that bottle Bessie, it's going to taste sooooo good! I will remember all the times the Oilers got shut out while I drink it...like the Coyotes did to them yesterday. The Last place team in the league.

The Flames have more depth than the Oilers could dream of having. Although I'm not a huge fan of the Flames, they usually show up to play. The team has a lot of heart, good offensive minded blue liners, and forwards that get the puck to the net. With some more solid goal tending, I have no doubt that they make the playoffs.

That is what will make it so horrible when they just miss the playoffs.

That being said, watching the Oilers play the Coyote's yesterday had all the excitement of the relegation game at the WJC. What a terrible year!

Ouch....that hurts just reading it Jamie. Although considering how the game went, I would have tried to drink it 'pretty' too...

Better game than the last matchup against Boston, couple mistakes cost them the extra two points

Missed the whole thing.....dangit! I hate when I work through games. One Bettman Point helps, but they need some wins if they want to play after the regular season. So Rittich had a good game? Shots favored Bruins by the stats...

Need to score some goals. Unless we planned to win 1 to 0 we we destined to lose. This has happened many times this year. We need someone who can score goals consistently outside of our top couple of guys.

He was amazing.. Almost Kipperesq....
First star and lost the game. I believe he stopped 4 breakaways. Awesome bounce back game for him.

Bruins will win the cup this year.
And Rittich, great game but Marchant in OT, the oldest trick in the book, half a deke 5 hole.
Slide over left like he did, but paddle down, not waving his stick & blocker up right like its a top shelf shot.

Stop letting them score 30 seconds after you tied it!

Or they could do that, and just completely give up.

Anyone think the Flames are going to do anything prior to the deadline?

I think their biggest issue is that 19 year old Matthew is the only player who shows up to play on a regular basis. Could you imagine if Gio, Hamilton, Brodie, Hamonic, Johnny, Monahan, Bennett, Ferland, etc. had the same attitude? I don't feel getting a player like Grabner is going to solve the heart of the matter and push these guys over the edge.

I am sure they will be looking. Personally, I think the biggest asset they have to trade is Bennett. Young and perhaps a change of scenery will reveal more of what was predicted.

Johnny came to play tonight. Nice to see Bennett making the most of his time on the 1st line as well.
