Default Sleigh tow bar build advice

Looking for a quick and easy way to build one of these tow bars, or something like it so I can pull my sleigh behind the skidoo. Doesn’t have to be steel, I’m more concerned with being able to find all the materials at hardware stores (Princess Auto, Crappy Tire etc.). No access to a mig welder or anything like that.

Thanks

$5 for 10' of 1/2" pvc conduit will make a tow bar. Cut the conduit in half and run your tow rope through it.

I bought one at Cabellas and it was surprisingly cheap I think i paid 60 for it and use it all the time, good design, sturdy and easy to hookup

I made my own. Just make sure you have solid connections on the sled, too much flex and it could tear it out. It is a 2"x2" heavy wall with diagonals to the connections, also 2"x2" that quick pin into the brackets on the sled. My snowmobile had a hitch already, so I just downloaded a photo for the factory hitch and welded up my own. All it cost me was time. All scrap metal around the shop.
I went ahead and made my own sled as well, just so I could reinforce the front the way I want. My sled is 72" long x 32" wide, aluminum framing with PVC sides and elasticized cover with lexan bottom and runners. I pull it by hand sometimes, it slides better than my Cabelas sled.
