Default Parker DH Grade 16 Gauge Shotgun

Price Reduced

This is a very collectible, classic American High Grade, side by side shotgun. Nicknamed "old reliable", the Parker shotgun are considered to be amongst the very best shotguns made in the USA. Made in 1893, this DH gun was Parker Brothers most popular high grade shotgun with a total of 9,400 manufactured. The stock is Circassian walnut with fine checkering and a plastic butt plate. The English stock (straight grip) is rare and adds overall value to this piece. The side plate of the box lock action is engraved with standard DH grade scene of dogs, pointer on the right side, and setter on the left. The barrels, receiver, and forend all have matching serial numbers, and the barrel lump is marked "1" indicating a 16 gauge frame size. The barrels have an ivory centre beed as well as extractors (no ejectors). The barrels are tight to face, ring true, are clean with no rust and the bores are in very good condition. Stock measurements are considered modern (see specifics below).

Gauge: 16 ga.

Grade: DH

Serial No.: 76844

Date of Manufacture: 1893 (from PGCA website)

Gauge: 16 ga.

Barrel Length: 27 7/8"

Length of Pull: 14 3/16"

Drop at Comb: 1 5/8"

Drop at Face: 1 11/32"

Drop at Heel: 2 1/8"
