I learned that my new Siembida northern shrike is also magnacut steel. Its Much thinner and lighter than my Chisan. I rather like his handle design as its thick up front but almost floats at the rear in your palm making the knife feel very nimble..sadly I couldnt put all the pieces together on saturday to harvest a cow elk so no real world test yet...hopeful i can correct that this week.

I’ve become a big fan in my outdoor edge swing blade. With an orange rubber handle it is easy to grip and see when you put it down. And switches between the skinning blade and cutting blade is fast and easy. I find I can move very fast with the skinner blade and not have to worry about damaging anything aswell.
I also have a nice buck knife and the benchmade hidden canyon. Beautiful knives but I still like the utility aspect of the swing blade.

Default New knife!

Just received this knife today from Phil McCracken! And I'm impressed! Super sharp, and well made! I really like it a lot! Feels good in the hand! Looks great!
I think it going to be a great knife!

Nice!! I like how the sheath is longer so the knife sits in deep. Less chance of it coming out when not wanted.

^^^ I agree. The rest of us are certainly enjoying it.

Nice work Pathfinder. You're sheaths are looking good, well proportioned, clean and built to hold the knife securely.
I may have missed it, but are you sealing or treating them with anything?

Suggest a bees wax based product rather than oil based, to maintain the stiffness of the leather.

I changed it so guys like that angry dude wouldn't complain. It's become more than just skinning knives anyhow. Makers like yourselves are displaying your work etc ...

I can change it back if the boys want.

Found my Lansky Deluxe Sharpening Kit. Barely used it. Will work great for someone, just not me, as i bought a KME. If anyone has a hunting knife they wanna swap for it lemme know what you may have in your tickle trunk. Lol.

You get to try those knives and anything, other than your arm? Steak ?

So much for a $200 skinning knife
