Default Silver Pike

Caught our first Silver Pike in Alberta yesterday and was curious if anyone else has caugt one before. He was very lack luster in his pattern and color

Although pike do vary in color in different watersheds or times of year, this one looks like there's something going on there with the pigmentation .... which is not totally rare in pike, but more common in walleye.

Just seems to be totally missing the "patterns" you see there ... who knows ....

Pretty cool fish.
