Benchmade Bugout in 20CV is a fantastic folder for field work imo.
Light weight and very slicey.

I also have a Ka-bar made Dozier folder in D2 that has some promise. It will likely be used on a yote or three this year.

I just picked up a Artemis Raven knife...

Mine has the red handle blade design....as seen in the link.

It is light and nimble. This is my first Nitro-V stainless. The readings on it are pretty impressive.

Well this one was way cheaper than $200

This was just given to me from my cousin. He has been dabbling in some leather work and knife making over the last few years. He did a nice job for a part timer

So far she is sharp but still needs to be put to the test

LT wright GNS in 3V is the sharpest knife I own. Almost too scary to handle. Pops hair effortlessly. If they offered a semi skinner pattern in 3V with a convex grind, that would be the production knife to have. A couple of their patterns come close...

I just picked up this little beauty from our very own Phil McCracken.

I bought it for my boy for when gets a little bigger. He can start off with some quality gear.

I'm very happy with this knife. Like I said it's a little beauty!

New knife on the way...my amazing brother nominated me for a giveaway on Joseph von Benedicts backcountry hunting podcast...
While I didnt get first or even second I was selected third place and am receiving this fantastic siembida knife scaled with some elk antler off one of Joseph's own kills.....absolutely amazing. I'm pumped

GNS. It's my go-to for bush craft and camping chores. I find it's too pointed and a touch too long for all around game processing. It tends to nick the hides very easily.

Well, woke up this morning to a twitter notification that Rick Menefee had posted a new set of knives. I quickly click, and yep, they're mine.

The one on the right is his Big Boner in a2 which will over time develop a nice patina if looked after; rust if not. The scales are spalted maple burl. This one will be mine.

The one on the left is his Bose Drop Point Hunter in 154cm. The scales are dyed black ash burl. This one will be going to my son after I have a message tooled on the flap of the scabbard.

Both blades are treated to a Rockwell hardness of 62, and should be relatively easy to sharpen.

Scabbards are by Larry Parsons.

I'm very pleased.

He only uses two steels. 154cm as his stainless and a2 as his carbon steel. Neither sexy nor a modern super steel.
