Default McGregor Jan 23

Thought I would try my luck at Mcgregor, over all very slow, but there was a pretty bright moon that night so that may have affeted it some.

First off access there is a pretty big ice ridge at the boat launch so me and my corrolla were pushing it getting on and off. Ice is thick.

we were off the point south of the boat launch

Fist off we were shallow going for whites no action at first but I switched to a small jigging spoon and that did get immeadiate reaction, that beeing swimming up to it and almost biting. In general they were just plain negative.

As the day went on we moved deeper had a hook up jigging a forrage minnow but it did not last long.

Then nothing till it was dark. We were seeing if we could land a burbot or two but only landed 2 walleye hooking up twice more on tipped glow jigs.

There was talk of someone fishing by a big coulee haveing a busy mourning of bites but no one around us caught much of the folks I talked to only about 3 -4 fish hit the ice.
