Reel
Looking for a new 6or8wt reel to replace my old one. I'm looking to spend about 350$ all in. I've read some stuff online but I'd rather get your guys opinion on it

I love my Lamsons and my Sage, but my Hardy Ultralite DD is probably my favorite in that price range. I have it on my 8wt, I love the sound, the look, the drag, and the large arbor narrow spool.

Alright thank you, I really only need it to put a sink tip line on because my current reel is older and I can't find a spool for it anywhere

I recently bought a Cheeky and it is terrific for the price range. Terrific for any price range actually.

X2 +Orvis and Ross, I'm always lookin fer deals, ie. clearance, discontinued, WSS clearence center down in Pincher had some hardys marked down a while back, bass pro, wss, I have a hard time payin full price, only so many advancements that can be made in the fly reel industry.

just bought a Lamson Guru 5 wt reel to replace my Lamson Velocity that got stolen. the Velocity was the best reel i have ever owned until i bought the Guru. nice smooth action, great drag system and cheap. got it out of the states for just a bit more then $200 cdn landed at my door. can't go wrong with that price.

You can also have a look at Allen reels. Good prices, smooth reels.

Basically any reel in that range will be more than fine. Things to consider
1) How does it look? You will spend more time looking at it than fishing it.
2) How much does it weigh, will it balance your rod?
3) Durability / Warranty process and cost

I just replaced my 5/6 wt reel and picked up a Sage 3250. Machined, anodized aluminum, sealed disc drag, Drag nob is great. Big, gripable, numbered and only one turn from 1 to 10, so easy to always set to same tension. Great reviews. $280.
